HEAT TREATED WOODEN PALLETS

At Stanlow Pallets we offer all our customers the very latest heat-treated pallets, strictly monitored to meet to conform to ISPM15 guidelines. All pallets are supplied with a certificate documenting the treatment process and stamped with our unique registration number.

Why heat treat pallets?

Heat treated pallets are required for all wood packaging material used in international shipments.

Wooden pallets are made from organic material. This means the ground they grow from is not only full of nourishment but attracts a wide range of insects and bacteria. Without proper treatment these insects and bacteria can easily be transported from one part of the world to another. Heat Treatment that conforms to ISPM 15 guidelines is an effective way of killing off larva and insects before transportation.

What is heat treatment?

Pallet boxes and crates are heated to a core temperature of 140 degrees for a minimum of 30 minutes. Once this process has been completed each pallet is stamped with an internationally recognised badge that means goods can be transported more easily.
